Acidophil, LLC

What We Do - Summary

Creating and developing a  business opportunity around an enabling technology requires a combination of innovation, competitive research, intellectual property management, research and development planning and management, business development and management, fund raising and corporate governance. For Acidophil, these activities fall into three generic stages: (i) research and company formation; (ii) incubation and company development; and (iii) commercialization and independence.  All of Acidophil’s activities are facilitated by use of its virtual research and development laboratory.

A common theme of Acidophil’s projects is the use of insights from genomics and molecular biology to develop novel bio-technologies. However, Acidophil’s projects are not restricted to either a single technological field or one market area.  Likewise the companies it forms are not restricted to a single geographical zone.  Acidophil supports this diversity and flexibility by exploiting a virtual research and development environment, and complementing its internal team with additional company-specific entrepreneurial managers and technologists during company formation and its incubation.
